Up for sale my uncles antique Edwardian rolltop desk.
This genuine musuem quality solid oak Edwardian antique roll top desk / tambour front desk dates from ca.
1920’s.
It has a slatted roll top with fitted interior, having letter racks and small drawers and cute pigeon holes to organize documents etc .
Dimensions: 48” wide x 30” deep and writing area 30” high and highest point of roll top is 49”.
The desk’s origin is London UK made by famous cabinetmakers Angus of London and at some point it was imported to USA and my uncle purchased the desk from an antique shop in Pasadena.
This wonderful desk stands on two pedestals with working drawers and the original wooden handles.
The back and sides are panelled and finished, it splits into three sections for removal, has lovely charm and character of aged solid oak wood with the striking grain, and amazing patina, is in very good condition considering its 100 years young age and has been recently beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of waxes and Danish oils ….
We inherited this desk recently, however we happen to be in downsizing mode so we are looking for a new home for this beauty and beast, we sincerely Thank You for craiglisting, .
