Antique General Store Coffee Grinder, with 4 Doric columns on plinth.
No markings apparent.
Has a great patina of age with some areas still showing faint gold leaf accents.
Any rust is superficial and surface only.
Still works smoothly and actually grinds coffee, somewhat coarsely, but.
.
.
The grinder weighs probably near 100 lbs.
The age is a guess based upon others found online.
The 1880 - 1920 period is most likely.
The wheels are 24" diameter.
The width is 16" plus handle.
The height is 35" to the top of the whole bean hopper.
I have intentionally NOT refurbished or re-finished this piece, since it's age and character are important parts of its appeal
The purchaser should be prepared for some additional costs for fixing to a pallet and additional packaging/protection, and whatever freight applies to buyer's destination.
Or, it can be picked up in the Valencia CA area by pre-arrangement.
I am not a dealer, this is a personal item.
