The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the implementation and support of various Human Resources initiatives including hiring and interviewing staff, administrative work-flow processes, performance management, leaves of absence, generating standard and ad-hoc reports, training, compliance, candidate review, employee relations and policies and procedures in the United States and Canada.

HR Generalist will help support the Human Resources Manager and other department management with HR related matters.
They will demonstrate a high level of trust, confidentiality, good judgment, and collaboration.
The Generalist will work closely with employees, managers, and senior leaders of the organization.
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Calabasas, CA is $75,000 to $100,000.
This role will operate in a hybrid schedule (3 days in office/2 day remote).
Essential Functions: Creating a recruitment plan and calendar according to department operational and budget projections.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Generating official internal documents such as customized offer letters, promotion letters, and other employee communications Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval, and initiating activities.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Conduct 30-60-180-day check-ins for newly hired employees.
Use available data to analyze market compensation and reviews job descriptions to recommend salary ranges for compensation packages.
Participate in HR activities to support mergers and acquisitions.
Assist with the performance management process by creating merit budget worksheets and tracking merit increase data.
Create and/or edit HR forms, documents, and templates including job descriptions.
Acts as back-up for daily functions of HR Administrative team, including, oversee internal process and workflows for recruiting approval forms, confidential personnel requests and sales internship program approvals; initiate, manage, and be a point of contact with 3rd party vendor for background checks; conduct new hire on-boarding process at HQ location; audit weekly new hire and termination report from Payroll to ensure SOX compliance.
Provide guidance to employees and managers with interpretation of recruiting related topics including policies and procedures.
Participate in developing department goals and programs.
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to impact continual improvements and efficiencies within HR department.
Respond to HR and Recruiting inquiries with a sense of urgency.
Maintain current knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations and recommend appropriate action for compliance purposes.
Assist HR Generalist (Administration) as needed, or as time permits.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or Business preferred.
Minimum 5 years of multi-state Human Resources experience with a focus on recruiting.
Knowledge of labor laws (federal and state).
Knowledge of state and federal reporting requirements (VETS-4212, EEO-1, Affirmative Action Plan, etc.
) Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Previous experience with HRIS; preferably ADP WFN.
Previous experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferably Lever.
Knowledge of SharePoint and Salesforce.
