Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting & Operations Associate, will be assisting the business office team with various administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate has basic accounting knowledge, is detail oriented and has hands on deck mentality.
*Responsibilities:* Accounting/Supporting CFO - 60% * Assist with month‐end and year‐end close procedures * Manage corporate credit card program ensuring receipts are received on time * Collect & process monthly credit card reports * Prepare monthly Amazon transactions report & receipts * Create and distribute monthly budget reports * Scan weekly AP files/checks/credit cards/Amazon * Verify vendor billing discrepancies and help resolve vendor issues * Record Accounts Receivable in Blackbaud accounting system * Maintain record of invoices without sales tax for accrual/recording * Independent contractor Insurance requirements collection/follow up * Maintain current Certificates of Insurance for vendors/contractors * Assist with managing CFO calendar & response to requests * Support CFO project management * Additional duties as assigned by the CFO General Operations Responsibilities (30%) * Student Records: maintain Magnus medical documents, immunization records, family follow-up * Safety: Manage CPR trainings, Flu/TB clinics, Emergency Operations Plan * Compliance: 1)Manage student attendance protocols/procedures 2)Issue required 3) communicable disease notices (Lice, HFMD, COVID, etc.
) 4)Monitor LADPH updates & communicate updates internally * Administer tickets sale software for performing arts events (Fall Play, Spring Musical) * Coordinate student transportation, both contracted daily bus service & field trip buses * Provide regular phone coverage of reception desk * Assist Business Office in other administrative tasks as assigned HR Support – 10% * Set-up new employee in HRIS systems, collect onboarding documents, and ensure enrollment in medical benefits * Schedule onboarding meetings for new hires * Assist in benefits census data for benefit renewal applications * Track harassment and other employee trainings * Assist in collecting data for survey requests by NAIS, NBOA, and Board of Trustees *Qualifications:* * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required * 1-2 years of previous professional experience, especially in similar non-profits or K-12 * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) & Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, & Forms) * Prior exposure to Paychex Flex or similar payroll programs * Prior exposure or interest in learning Flock, EASE, Benetrac or similar benefit info systems * Detail oriented, ability to meet deadlines, ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment * Willingness to learn and grow career in accounting and operations * Proven ability to independently manage multiple administrative tasks and projects with appropriate prioritizing and follow through * Customer service mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills * Supportive of a diverse and highly inclusive community * Sense of humor Salary: This is a salaried (non-exempt) position with a salary range of $54,080 - $64,480 based on qualifications.
