*Accounting Specialist* The Angry Chickz brand is wildly popular and expanding quickly! We’ve been serving the best Nashville style hot chicken since 2018.
We currently have over five hundred employees (team members) in 24 locations (22 in CA and 2 in AZ & NV) and plan to open several more restaurants by year-end.
And, we have begun franchise operations.
As part of the Corporate Team, the Accounting Specialist will work closely with a group of self-starters who were able to advance in their current roles from a similar foundation.
This position fosters the development of professional skills and provides valuable corporate experience.
Who You Are… The Accounting Specialist role consists of accounting and administrative duties as well as analyst responsibilities.
This position is responsible for assisting with finance, accounting, projects, and administrative work.
The variety of challenges and opportunities could be ideal for the right candidate with an interest in expanding their technical knowledge of accounting and finance skills.
*Duties and Responsibilities* * Assist in the company’s purchasing and vendor payment processes including establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
* Oversee the company’s corporate credit card program.
* Assist management with employee expense report processing.
* Assist with daily operations, including recording bank deposits, reviewing accounts receivable reports, and processing payments to carriers and clients.
* Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations as part of the monthly close cycle under an accrual accounting system.
* Demonstrate an understanding of the core values of the company.
Understand the guidelines for the way business is conducted through its transactions.
* Serve as backup for team members, as assigned.
*QUALIFICATIONS* * An undergraduate degree in Business.
* A minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.
* Experience in performing analytical, economic research or similar projects is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability in setting and achieving goals.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to convey information clearly and concisely.
* Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
* Ability to focus on and perform detailed work.
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced level in Excel.
* Knowledge of spreadsheets and accounting software.
