Operational Excellence Lead

The Operational Excellence Lead will manage the portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives for a site or group of sites.
Duties include deploying Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to drive process improvements.
The role requires effective cross-functional coordination to work collaboratively with all levels in all departments to define, develop and implement Lean Six Sigma projects and activities which enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost of operational outputs.
Additionally, this leader organizes training and coaching initiatives to drive the development of the site’s culture and praxis of Lean Six Sigma principles.
This position is located onsite in our Sylmar, CA.

Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives to improve the site’s processes and business capabilities, delivering value to our customers, our employees, and the company.
Implement and enhance the AeroLean Production System standards, including 5S, Leader and Operator Standard Work, Problem Solving, VSMs, Poka Yoke, Visual Management, Kanban, and Pull systems.
Train, coach and develop colleagues on the use of continuous improvement concepts and methodologies.
Facilitate the leadership team’s use of strategic deployment tools and techniques to align goals and projects to business priorities.
Serve as a highly motivated change agent with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to coach, train, and work with all organizational levels.
Track and report on all continuous improvement workshops and cost savings initiatives within the site.
Develop and lead ad-hoc teams that provide rapid resolution and problem solving where applicable.
Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in a STEM or relevant field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing operations, process engineering, or quality management.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with at least 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in managing Operations Excellence initiative across a multiple-cell site.
Demonstrated experience in leading step change, breakthrough projects (using DMAIC, Lean, or equivalent methods) for significant business improvements in a production environment.
Knowledge and application of Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving techniques.
Must be a US Citizen LI-Onsite.
Salary Range at $95,000-120,000 plus annual bonus About us: You will work onsite in Sylmar, California.
