*Project Manager*
· During project oversight, ensures that all LDI safety policies and OSHA regulations are met.
· Ensures accurate bid preparation and manages all major aspects of the paper work process.
· Adheres to project budget; monitors, tracks and facilitates billing and collection of “Extra Work.
”
· Participates in sales and marketing functions that are part of the annual business plan.
· Works independently and in association with marketing staff to identify and develop client prospects, capture and maintain client relationships, and develop prospects into clients.
· Acts as point person for assigned client portfolios; nurtures client relationship through personal contact and participation of social events.
· Negotiates subcontract work favorably, monitors job cost reports regularly and actively manages projects, ensuring on-time and under-budget completion.
· Cross-sells goods and services for all other divisions and locations, whenever possible.
· Facilitates the sale and installation of landscape construction work.
· Ensures proper documentation is used and archived for historical data and potential liability issues.
*Management& Leadership*
· Adheres to and embraces LDI’s company doctrine, values and mission statement.
· Models the principles outlined in the Don Mario book and demonstrates high and consistent levels of emotional intelligence.
· Monitors and holds all subordinates accountable for their responsibility’s performance levels.
· Trains new project staff employees on proper LDI policies and procedures, company culture and proper project management practices.
· Trains, mentors and coaches the Project Assistant and Associate staff.
*Safety & Quality*
· Trains and evaluates project assistants and associates that area assigned to their team and mentor field staff in their duties and responsibilities relative to safety and quality.
· Implements and exceeds current company policy, systems and procedures of all Field Operations, Safety, Quality Control and TechnicalTraining Programs.
Actively monitors for safety compliance when visiting job sites.
· Continually increases knowledge of industry trends, technological changes and obtains applicable certifications.
*Skills/Abilities – Ability to:*
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings, as required.
· Proficiency in Mac OS, Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and other employees.
· Broad practical knowledge of irrigation systems, hardscape, and plant identification.
Knowledge of basic plant identification.
· Strong skills in areas of sales, negotiation, team-building, and emotional intelligence.
*Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:*
· Bachelor’s degree in Ornamental Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
· 3+ Years of landscape management experience
· Valid Driver’s License
*Work Environment/Physical Requirements*
· Primarily work in office environment
· Occasional work in the field near direct automotive traffic, construction equipment, in extreme weather conditions
· Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required)
· Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
· Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
Salary based on experience.
Commision opportunity could range $20-$30K
