Company: RSA Engineered Products, LLC Primary Location: 110 West Cochran Street, Unit A, Simi Valley, CA 93065 USA Employment Type: Salaried | Full-Time Function: Engineering Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Main Duties & Responsibilities Job Summary: Supports planning and designing of manufacturing processes within the industrial plant.
Increases day-to-day production and process efficiency by analyzing the shop layout, capability of equipment, tooling/fixturing, process flow, and assembly methods – resulting in increased quality, increased productivity, and reduced product cost.
Determines and documents processes, equipment, and fixturing needed to achieve production readiness (NPI) and sustain manufacturing operations in accordance with all specifications and engineering requirements.
Completes day-to-day tasks including small projects as assigned – a degree of creativity and analytical problem-solving is required.
Keeps detailed records in an organized fashion and practices good organizational skills to support the job function.
Ability to clearly write and edit technical documentation, assembly instructions, and process documents.
Has general knowledge of commonly used (industry) concepts, practices, and procedures within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
Obtains on-the-job experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and drawing requirements.
Possesses beginning to working-knowledge of the subject matter for duct manufacturing.
Works effectively in both individual and team environments to discover and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Conforms to company safety policies and procedures.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 1+ year experience with interrogating 3D models using Solidworks or other 3D CAD software.
1+ year experience using Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with sheetmetal processes (e.
g.
, forming, cutting, drilling, riveting, assembly).
Experience with fusion welding (GTAW / TIG) process.
Experience with resistance welding (Spot or Seam) processes.
Experience with fluorescent penetrant and/or radiographic (x-ray) processes.
Experience with inspection or measurement processes.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software systems – RSA uses Epicor.
Experience with programming (Excel VBA, SQL) and/or Excel Pivot Tables to compile and construct data to support Continuous Improvement and CAPEX projects.
Minimum Education & Experience: An engineering degree (BS or MS) in manufacturing, aerospace, mechanical or industrial engineering, or a degree (AS, BS or MS) in engineering or a physical science plus a minimum of 4 years of aerospace manufacturing experience.
0-2 years of direct manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace duct manufacturing.
Certifications: Must be able to obtain an internal RSA Manufacturing Engineering (ME) stamp within (12) months.
Must be able to successfully complete the RSA internal Weld Inspector Specialist training course within (12) months.
Essential Physical / Mental Abilities Required: Employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time, occasionally required to walk, climb stairs, stoop, use hands to finger (keyboard), stand for extended periods of time on a shop floor, talk and hear.
The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

The pay scale for this position ranges from $66,560 to $95,000 annually.
