The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, Notarizing Documents, Livescan Fingerprintng, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices.
The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.
The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance.
He or she must be a fast learner who tries to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
* Notary Public and Livescan operator (we will provide training and education)
* Helps with other Center functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and binding
* Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions
* Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
* Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
* Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
* Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience
* Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, and properly cushioning contents
* Takes ownership of customers’ packing, shipping, and/or print problems and offers viable solutions
* Follows and understands quality guidelines
* Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
* Performs other duties as required
* Monitors, evaluates, and maximizes customer service delivery and customer satisfaction
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* Notary Public (we will provide training but must qualify)
* Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites a plus
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math
* Prompt, reliable, and responsible
* Able to lift 50+ pounds
* Neat, clean, and professional appearance
* Willing to accept full accountability for Center operations
* Able to cross sell and up sell products and services
* Able to follow and understand quality guidelines
* Able to work and complete tasks independently in a quick turn environment
* Strong customer service skills and abilities
* Highly organized and detail oriented
* Must be an energetic self-starter who is driven to succeed
* Willing and able to work 30 to 40 hours per week for a 6-day work week
