Our *Hilton Garden Inn Valencia* is seeking a *Director of Sales* to join their team.
As a Director of Sales, you will be responsible for working/assisting in generating top-line revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations.
You will also be responsible for corporate business transient, group, project/crew and banquet & event(s) segments.
Hospitality sales experience is required for this position.
*Key Leadership Responsibilities*
* Responsible for soliciting and managing all hotel Corporate, Negotiated, Project, and Group Business
* Identify, qualify and contract Banquet & Event leads to generate revenue by maximizing event space to fit client needs.
* Have a clear understanding of the hotels’ business strategies, then set goals and action plans to meet those goals.
* Accurately monitor and report segment production.
* Understand the competitive landscape and do what it takes to secure business that meets or exceeds revenue expectations and profit goals.
* Exhibit proficiency in responding to inquiries, concerns, and issues, ensuring an exceptional client experience and seeding future sales.
* Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
* Create, implement and track sales action plans related to market areas in the Sales & Marketing Action Plans
* Able to provide quick and timely responses and develop professional long- term business relationships.
* Always provide the highest quality of service to the customer.
* Conduct sales calls to acquire new business and/or close on business.
* Arrange and conduct site inspections to potential clients.
* Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence).
* Able to support the hotels’ service and relationship strategy and driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
* Work closely with General Manager and Corporate team to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of hotel.
* Develop a strong relationship with the on-property front office teams, to ensure the team is working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
* Provide support at front desk to mentor sales with front desk agents and support operations
* Targeting key accounts and their potential for the company.
* Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
* Develop relationships with the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
* Acquire and develop new business accounts and prepare sales proposals for clients.
* Closely follow up on all business leads within a 24-hour response timeline to clients.
*Education and Experience Requirements*
* Four-year college degree, or equivalent education and experience in hospitality, is highly preferred.
* Minimum of two (2) years of employment in a related position.
* Must possess effective verbal and written English communications skills.
* Knowledge of sales and hospitality principles and practices is expected
* Strong customer service and/or guest relations required.
* Valid driver’s license and clean DMV print-out.
* Hospitality experience highly preferred.
* Must be well versed and have fluid working knowledge of the following systems: Microsoft Office (Excel®, Word®, PowerPoint®)

* SkyTouch®
* Salesforce/Amadeus SAE/Dephi.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.
