*Overview:*
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Community Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will assist in managing our apartment community, providing leadership and motivation to ensure a positive working environment and high-quality living for our residents.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day operations, directing leasing staff, and implementing effective leasing and marketing strategies.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Lead daily staff meetings and ensure effective communication within the team.
- Manage daily posting of advertisements on platforms such as Craigslist.
- Oversee the input and management of data in property management software and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Review and approve move-out statements, ensuring compliance with state laws and company policies.
- Assess and approve rental applications, adhering to Fair Housing standards and company procedures.
- Assist in rent negotiation, lease renewals, and documentation for rental increases.
- Coordinate with leasing and maintenance teams to schedule and prepare for move-ins.
- Participate in pricing strategy discussions and make recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and complete files for residents and vendors.
- Manage legal and formal notices in compliance with legal standards and company policies.
- Oversee account transactions, including rent adjustments and utility billing.
- Prepare weekly reports and ensure timely submission.
- Supervise leasing office functions and staff, ensuring efficient operation and staffing.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee property maintenance and service requests.
- Assist in budget development and administration.
- Participate in staff hiring, training, and performance reviews.
- Lead sales meetings and encourage staff participation in professional development.
- Perform additional duties as required, varying by property size.
*Requirements:*
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting.
- Experience in customer service within property management, hospitality, retail, or real estate.
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Yardi & Yieldstar.
- Experience in staff management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in property management, including 1 year in a management role.
*Work Environment and Physical Requirements:*
- On-site work at an apartment community.
- Interaction with internal/external customers, residents, and vendors.
- Flexible schedule with the possibility of weekend work.
- Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.
00 - $26.
00 per hour
