Examples of Essential Duties: Evaluate patients’ psycho-social needs; Evaluate patients' family/social situation to support a treatment plan; Participate in on-going counseling; Utilize community resources to assist patients' psycho-social needs; Document history, care plans and prepare reports as needed.
Education Requirement: Graduation from an accredited university or college with a Master Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling.
Qualifications: Current California Certification as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); Current AHA-approved CPR card; 1 year experience providing counseling to diverse populations, including clients with mental health and substance use disorders; 1 year of experience providing counseling to justice involved populations, preferred; Fluency in Spanish.
Recruiting Guidelines: Skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, logic and reasoning, judgment, time management techniques and data entry; Ability to make improvements or take corrective action; Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources; Organize, plan, and prioritize work; Communicate with people outside the organization; Represent the organization to patients, clients and the public; Deal calmly and effectively in high stress situations; Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time; Work within a team as well as independently; Speak, read, and write effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience while demonstrating the proper use of grammar.
