SUMMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:
The Credit and Collections Specialist collects, manages, and provides resolution of outstanding invoices from past-due accounts.
This person interacts with customers and sales support.
Works on accounts receivable aging and reconciling accounts.
In addition, the Credit and Collections Specialist analyzes and processes credit memos, special bills, and internal offsets – adjustments.
Prepares detailed collections reports and cash collection forecasts monthly.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects and maintains accurate credit information.
Reviews and verifies overdue accounts.
Assign credit terms and limits to new and existing customers
Research, resolve, and collect customer claims/chargebacks in conjunction with customer service
Work with the sales workforce to verify customer creditworthiness and history
Make credit hold decisions and take all appropriate actions to obtain payments, and/or to minimize bad debt, while maintaining a productive and mutually satisfactory relationship with the customer by conducting the following:
Actively engage in collection efforts on past-due balances
Negotiate payment arrangements
Review, approve and release orders with various hold issues
Assist customers with questions on the accuracy of invoices and balances
Evaluates and suggests the creditworthiness of prospects and customers to decrease financial risk to the organization.
Work with customer service and operations to ensure timely processing of credit memos and returns and other customer requirements
Perform various regular department tasks as assigned, including but not limited to month-end close, audits, and reporting.
Process applications for new customers
Update or change processes for collections and credit approval process
Prepare and process daily receipts deposits
Perform other duties as related to the job function as required
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES:
BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent will be a plus.
1-2 Years experience (Entry level, New graduates are welcome to apply)
Qualified candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge of different collection techniques that can be used to collect from small, medium, and large companies.
Must be proficient with Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledgeable with Salesforce preferred, but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct a normal amount of work on a computer.
SALARY
At NMB, the pay band for this role is between $43,456.
00 and $65,184.
00 annually, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
The base pay is a part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range of the pay band process.
