Overview:
Busy criminal defense law firm in the San Fernando Valley seeking a full-time associate attorney to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support cases
- Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Provide legal advice to clients on a wide range of matters
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure effective case management
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact client cases
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.
D.
) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the state of California
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Excellent research, verbal, writing, and analytical skills
- Proficient in conducting legal research using resources such as Westlaw
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop sound legal strategies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
