SUMMARY: The DMV Clerk is responsible for all DMV registration, processing, reconciling, and title work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
• Processing DMV registration through DMV Desk software for new, used, and TRAC vehicles.
• Pulling inventory jackets to create sales jackets with the report of sales.
• Reconciling the DMV bundles, DMV schedules, and posting DMV ACH bills.
• Processing customer refund checks and billing out customer dues for DMV fees.
• Following up with lenders on late titles and updating the title sheet.
• Converting new vehicles to TRAC and converting TRAC to used inventory through Dealer Track.
• Processing parking citations.
• Processing release of liabilities and managing trade-in paperwork including payoffs.
• Maintaining schedules to make sure that they are clean and accurate (DMV, TRAC, Rental Receivables, TRAC utilization, payoff, etc.
).
• Managing the supply inventory and ordering the supplies for the dealership.
• Monitor the heat sheet and title sheet.
• Performs other tasks as required by management.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma/GED and 2+ years related experience.
May be able to work up to the position from an internal position.
Knowledge / Technical Skills: Duties require analytical and mathematical skills, logic aptitude, computer knowledge, professional verbal and written communication skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); Able to work overtime when necessary; Understanding of principles and practices of the organization, planning, records management and general administration.
Dependability, adaptability and confidentiality are necessary attributes.
Skilled in operating standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, and other office automation systems.
Customer Service Skills: Politeness, confidence, tact, patience and diplomacy while dealing with complex and confidential situations.
