50-$23 an hour
The Site Coordinator manages a single program site and is responsible for ensuring a safe, organized, fun and educational after school program.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide a safe and supportive environment by:
Clearly communicate health, safety and behavior procedures to site staff, participants and families.
Ensure that site staff are easily identifiable to participants and families with staff uniforms, names badges and walkie talkies.
Ensure that all site staff including yourself, families and school partners know where participants are located throughout the campus during program hours
Maintain and update an easily accessible list of all participants with current emergency contacts.
Provide active and engaged learning to youth by:
Ensure that the program is providing a variety of activities that are hands-on projected based
Build activities that are based on the feedback gathered from program assessments and surveys
Ensure youth voice and leadership are at the forefront on programs by:
Ensure that participants have opportunities and safe space to share their viewpoints, concerns or interest I manner that will impact program development and policies.
Participants should have opportunities to lead these spaces
Encourage and provide space for participants to exercise their leadership skills and address issues that affect their lives and communities.
Participants should be involved in identifying those issues
Ensure that all program activities and providing healthy choices and behaviors by:
Create and maintain a culture of health and a positive environment influenced by partnerships with school, families and community.
Identify healthy practices and develop a wellness plan and implementation strategy
Ensure that programs incorporate nutrition and physical activities that are age-appropriate
Build collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and community by:
Create a smooth transition between instructional day and expanded learning program
Outreach with potential partners in the community to sustain program outcomes
Collaborate with appropriate school, community, public and private stakeholders to leverage program resources.
Attend school site events to engage with parents, school site and recruit participants
Manage and supervise program site operations by:
Work with Program Director to strategically manage site level budget and create a spending plan that is in line with program plan
Build community support by providing high-quality programing that engages participants and provides them a safe, healthy space to thrive
Maintain daily attendance records, ensure that all attendance deadlines are met
Have clear line of communication with parents, school administration and site staff.
Have regular site meetings
Maintain up-to-date records on all participants and site staff
Approve site staff timesheets with all deadlines
Distribute parent handbooks with up-to-date site policies and procedures and program registrations
Manage all incident reports and ensure that they are properly documented
Post, advertise and actively recruit participants for the program
Maintain and update FPM box

Education and Experience:
Graduate or majoring in education, physical education, recreation or a related field is desirable.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience developing and implementing expanding learning programs and or educational activities
At least one-year experience in a supervisor role.
At least two years’ experience working with youth required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Regular physical activity participation is required
