Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other heavy equipment
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by dispatch
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Safely load and secure heavy equipment and materials for transport
- Will need to use a shovel at times
- Must be able to Drive a dump truck, load equipment, and be able to do labor.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Experience operating dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or tankers preferred
- Proficient in driving vehicles with manual transmissions
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Knowledge of route driving and freight transportation
- Knowledge of paving restoration is a plus
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.
g.
, tanker endorsement)
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3 years
- Ability to safely operate various types of trucks and heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills to interact with dispatch, customers, and team members
