Live-In Senior Caregiver - Overnight Shift (Pacific Palisades)

An established, loving Westside family is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated a Overnight Caregiver to provide support and assistance to an senior couple in their Pacific Palisades private residence.
As their Caregiver, you will be responsible for proactively ensuring the highest level of safety and well-being of your Clients throughout the night.
This is a two-month commitment with possibility of extension if mutually desired by both parties.
While on-call presence is required for 12-hour shifts, approx.
# of actual work hours per shift is 4-6.
We will also hire two separate caregivers if necessary to split the work and keep schedules reasonable.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Monitoring Clients at resting times and throughout the night to ensure well-being and safety * Monitoring and responding appropriately to blood sugar levels in one diabetic Client * Assist with clothing and dressing * Light housekeeping in bedroom & bathroom * Caring for and exercising pets (dog) * Possible escorting to church Requirements: * Strong and verifiable track record of outstanding in-home care for seniors * Experience managing blood sugar in diabetics * Reliable, attentive, and have a genuine passion for helping others * Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Access to reliable transportation * Ability to pass a background check, reference check and drug screening * Compassionate and empathetic towards elderly individuals * Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR * Ability to assist with mobility as needed Preferred Qualifications: * Certification in caregiving or a related field * Experience with medication management Schedule, Structure & Compensation: * $40/hour paid for all hours on-call, regardless of hours worked * 2 month initial commitment / trial period * Monday - Friday approx.
6pm - 7am presence required for 4-6 hours of work * Saturday & Sunday: 8pm - 8am presence required for 4-6 hours of work * Days off granted with 1 week advance notice * Kitchen access only after Clients have gone to bed * Personal refrigerator provided.
