The Tax Accountant is responsible for completing the lifecycle on Business Personal Property Tax filings, assessment, and bill reconciliations payments.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the preparation of annual BPP tax filings, ensuring compliance requirements are met with each jurisdiction
Reconciles assessments and tax bills to the filings, ensuring payments are made timely and are appropriately coded
Performs county assessment filing research.
Communicates findings with internal and external entities and staff as necessary
Remains current with property tax requirements for Counties, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and mandates as appropriate
Researches and imports information into property tax software as necessary to maintain accurate records
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field plus 2 years’ experience
Experience with PTMS database a plus
Intermediate to advanced level of Excel
Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
In the states of Colorado, California, Illinois and Washington, the anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $19.

Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.
